With over 15 years experience in multiple aspects of Fertility medicine, Tammie was a pivotal member of the team which conceptualised Gavi – the world’s first automated vitrification instrument. Holding a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Reproductive Biology and one patent for embryo based technology, Tammie has written and presented several papers and currently serves as General Manager of Genea Biomedx.

Dr Robert Woolcott is one of Australia’s most experienced fertility specialists having practiced Fertility based medicine for over 25 years, performing over 10,000 IVF procedures and being the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. In addition to this role, he is also a Director for Genea.

As a regulatory and quality management system specialist for medical devices and IVD’s, Kea’s expertise lies in obtaining regulatory product certifications and ISO 13485 quality system management creation, implementation, maintenance and regulator audits. Kea’s excellence extends well beyond the scientific as well having won the Telstra 2002 South Australian Business Woman of the year award and being recognised as a State Finalist in the 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

With more than 20 years commercialising biotechnology in the reproductive space, Kim is the commercial director at Genea Biomedx. Throughout his career, Kim has been directly responsible for the conception, development and commercialisation of several new multi‐million dollar technologies in IVF. Kim joined Genea Biomedx in 2013 with an extensive experience in IVF industry and technologies in this space.

Sophie has over a decade of Sales and Marketing experience in the medical device industry and is responsible for the Marketing team at Genea Biomedx. She has a long track record of successful product launches in domestic and global markets ranging from capital equipment to surgical implants and consumables. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science (honours) in Chemistry and a Masters of Business Administration.

With over 25 years’ experience within Pharmaceutical and Medical Device manufacturing environments. Mike has a proven track record of successfully managing new product introductions within a number of “blue chip” companies. Mike, who joined Genea Biomedx in August 2015 works out of our Sandwich site based in the UK. He is responsible for the operations of both our Australia and UK facilities.
Shaun Atchison

Quality Control Manager
Shaun has 25 years’ experience in fields as diverse as polymer chemistry, separation technologies and biotechnology. He has a PhD in Polymer and Electrochemistry. In his role as Quality Control Manager at Genea Biomedx, Shaun is responsible for ensuring the quality of media and consumable items for release meets expected criteria. The Quality Control team is also responsible for shelf-life and other stability programs.

Allison brings to the Team an impressive track record of 16+ years in Product Development, specialising in leading edge medical devices and instrumentation. Having achieved success in a variety of technical & managerial roles within global medical device and product development organisations, she has a proven record developing products for healthcare and diagnostics. As the Director of Product Development, Allison leads Genea Biomedx in converting market opportunities into successfully launched products.
