Tammie Roy – General Manager

With over 15 years experience in multiple aspects of Fertility medicine, Tammie was a pivotal member of the team which conceptualised Gavi – the world’s first automated vitrification instrument.
 
Holding a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Reproductive Biology and one patent for embryo based technology, Tammie has written and presented several papers and currently serves as General Manager of Genea Biomedx.





 


Rob Woolcott – Chief Medical Officer

Dr Robert Woolcott is one of Australia’s most experienced fertility specialists having practiced Fertility based medicine for over 25 years, performing over 10,000 IVF procedures and being the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.
 
In addition to this role, he is also a Director for Genea.
 





 


Kea Dent – RA/QA Director

As a regulatory and quality management system specialist for medical devices and IVD’s, Kea’s expertise lies in obtaining regulatory product certifications and ISO 13485 quality system management creation, implementation, maintenance and regulator audits.
 
Kea’s excellence extends well beyond the scientific as well having won the Telstra 2002 South Australian Business Woman of the year award and being recognised as a State Finalist in the 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.





 


Michael Goss - Global Operations Manager

Genea Biomedx UK Michael GossWith over 25 years’ experience within Pharmaceutical and Medical Device manufacturing environments. Mike has a proven track record of successfully managing new product introductions within a number of “blue chip” companies.

Mike, who joined Genea Biomedx in August 2015 works out of our Sandwich site based in the UK. He is responsible for the operations of both our Australia and UK facilities.





 


Sophie Hegarty - Head of Marketing

Genea Biomedx Sophie HegartySophie has over a decade of Sales and Marketing experience in the medical device industry and is responsible for the Marketing team at Genea Biomedx. She has a long track record of successful product launches in domestic and global markets ranging from capital equipment to surgical implants and consumables. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science (honours) in Chemistry and a Masters of Business Administration.






 


Simon Hobbs – Director of Product Development

Simon's proven record of delivering innovative solutions to complex problems extends over 14+ years within Engineering and Product Development. Applying the rigour gleaned from his aerospace background to all aspects of biomedical product development, Simon was one of the mainstays in developing the disruptive and award-winning Gavi - the world's first automated vitrification instrument.

As the Director of Product Development, Simon leads Genea Biomedx in converting market opportunities into successfully launched products.





 


Teija Peura – Innovation Manager                                                       

As co-inventor on two patent applications and author of over forty published scientific articles, she has a demonstrated track record in academic and commercial research in the areas of biotechnology, embryonic stem cells and mammalian embryology.
Teija is an essential part of the Genea Biomedx team, working within ARTinnovations to develop the next generation of innovative fertility technologies.
